That was the "big" question the other night on the news here in Las Vegas. What were we going to call this new year, Twenty Ten or Two Thousand Ten. Seemed so funny to me....
Whatever you are going to call it, IT is here. With ringing in the New Year, came time to take down the Christmas tree. Poor Jocie did not understand this concept at all. She was so sad that we had to take Christmas down. We are talking sad, crying sad. She asked Rich to please not take the tree down because she loved the lights, the stars, and her presents.
It finally clicked...I told our crying little girl, "Jocie Bel, you don't have to put your presents away. You get to keep everything that you got for Christmas. We just have to put the decorations and the tree away in the garage."
That did the trick, her Dora house was safe and the tree was able to come down and the New Year could begin.
