If you could see the smile on Maren's face, you would remember what it was like to hang out with your best friend. Tonight, we picked up Alana from the airport for a five day visit. You would never know that it has been seven months since these girls have seen each other. They have already made up a commercial, made plans for tomorrow, and are playing upstairs, and yes it is 10:45pm. (That is one of the benefits of making the best of every minute they tell me!)
We almost did not get to pick up Alana. Alana's dad dropped her off at the airport in Austin and followed protocol to the letter. He gave the airlines their address and our address, which since he did not know he made up. So, when I showed my driver's license it did not match up with the 1234 Flintstones Rd. that we supposedly live at. A phone call from the supervisor to Alana's parents cleared things up and we were off. It makes for a great story and the girls thought it was hilarious.
We will see what adventures we will have over the next few days.
