Yep, when the temperatures hit over 100 degrees it tends to kill your car battery if it is on the verge of death. So today, I had to replace the battery in the van. Poor Maren had to ride her bike to school today. (Yes, year round school)
Riding her bike would not have been a bad thing except the poor girl's asthma is acting up. So after a trip to the doctor today, she is now on steroids, an antibiotic, breathing treatments, and a new inhaler.
Not sure if we blame it on Texas (Beaumont or Killeen) or returning to the desert? Anyhow...she is out of school for the next couple of days while we do breathing treatments and pump her up on some steroids to clear out her lungs.
And, with a new battery in the van, I can take her to school so she doesn't have to walk, run, or ride a bike when she returns.

Steroids? She already can out run the boys in her grade. :)
