Thoughts From Stake Conference

Since blogging has become my way of journal keeping, I wanted to write a few great things I learned this weekend at Stake Conference. For those of you who don't know what that is, in our church we have a meeting twice a year where different congregations of our faith meet together.

This is not a meeting that we have regularly attended since the twins were born, but Rich and I were able to go on Saturday night. Since we just moved to Henderson, we are still learning about our new leaders. The talks they gave on Saturday gave us a great perspective of who they are. Here are a few things that I learned.

• No one has a perfect family life and marriage. If someone says they do, there is a really great chance that things are not as perfect as they seem. What we should all be striving to do is move in a positive direction.
• Our children need to learn to work and appreciate the things they have. It is ok, to say no and be a parent.
• Prayer is something that can get us through anything.
• If we want things to succeed, we need to be a part of that success. We need to step out of our comfort box and do our part.
• We are meant to be happy.
