What We've Been Doing

Summer keeps us busy. Maren is still in school, thanks to the lovely year round elementary program here in Southern Nevada, so we try to juggle a summer routine with a school routine. It is quite tricky if you have never had to do so. We have been swimming, had a trip to Utah, and Lori and Megan down for a visit, more swimming, school, and life. Its our busy life.

We went on a quick vacation. We stayed at a mom and pop motel in Manti, Utah when we went to see the Manti Pageant.

Blake at the playground. It doesn't look like it, but it is 8:45pm. He is tired, and fell asleep as soon as the pageant started.

But, our hour and a half trip turns into a four hour drive due to two accidents in the canyon. So, the girls get out of the car to explore. Till they realize that the accident is really bad and it freaks them out.

The accident is about eight cars in front of us...Unfortunately someone has already died and we had to wait for two life flight helicopters to come for two of the other passengers. Kaylin and I walked up for one of the landings and Rich walked up for the other.

We took the girls for some indoor mini golf. It was HOT outside and we were looking for an escape from the heat. Megan joined us for the FUN!

Abby is more of the fourth sister in the family. I forgot my camera but we took the kids to Seven Peaks. Rich and the older girls stayed ALL day from 11 to 7! The twins and I lasted from 1 to about 3:30. Blake had fun going down the slides with Rich. He climbed all the stairs by himself. Jocie was just happy to stay in the little kid area and do the kiddie slide.

Then it was off the to the good old BYU Beane Museum. A must do for all families. Once again it was too hot, so we skipped the Zoo and saw the stuffed animals instead.

Rich was showing Blake the Bears. Abby and Maren finished off their trip with Rock Climbing with Uncle Stu. He is always great and takes Maren every time we come into town. She loves it. Rich was amazing and took the twins back to his parents and let Kaylin and I hit the mall with Lori. We had a great quick trip.

When we got home Rich took me to see Lion King as a belated birthday present. It was amazing. We had a fun time together.
